Nemesis, frankly saying, is a dream that turned into reality. A dream that 2 guys with an undying passion for rock n roll had. A dream to play their hearts out. This dream turned into reality in March 2005, putting the Nemesis bandwagon on the road.
Within the next few months, the all knowing Ruwan took over vocals, while the ever creative Trevor (sometimes better known for his binging abilities) took over on drums. Bassists always were a problem to Nemesis, with a lot of temporary fills to cover the void. After countless days of practicing at Trevor’s garage, (for which we are ever grateful to his mum) Nemesis was able to get its first break in the month of January 2006, performing at WIH (all the non rockers would know this as Women’s International Hall).
Kudos goes out to Rock Company who believed in us and supported us in numerous ways in those early days.
After this, Nemesis was on a good run playing at venues like BC auditorium, Café d artiste, etc until tragedy befell upon the band. No, no, no one died. But Trevor had to leave the band due to his calling from the land down under for his pursuit of the academic life. (Nostrovia to you, Trevor). Then, in came the bass demon that Nemesis was looking for in the form of the sexy haired Loshaarn, who amazed everyone including himself with his fingers on the bass. Nemesis played for TNL Onstage later that year with Tharaka helping us on drums, but to put it bluntly, the Nemesis bandwagon collapsed without a permanent replacement on drums.
Ruwan left the band in December 2006 due to personal reasons. All the dreams and hopes for Nemesis seemed to have faded to oblivion. Then finally, bringing new hope to the band, Chathura joined as a permanent replacement on drums in March 2007, bringing new hope and a new era in the books of Nemesis. The practices started again, but now the problem was finding a vocalist. It has to be stated that the frustration of finding new band members with rock n roll in their heart and soul drives you insane. And it led to the parting of Matheesha from our ranks.
Nemesis seemed to have vanished from the face of the earth. But it existed in the hearts of Loshaarn, Chathura and Mackie (And also in Mackie’s garage) who struggled for many months to find replacements for a guitarist and a vocalist. A replacement for both positions was found in Mayya, a dedicated Hetfield follower and the latest addition to the Nemesis ranks.
Now, Nemesis rolls on, with its lineup complete and ready for action. May it rise up every time every time it falls, every time its pushed down and every time its stepped upon. The pursuit of happiness, or rather the pursuit of greatness. Only time will reveal.

hey dude v met at the jingy bingy show two weeks back....i didn't know it wasn't mihindu on vocals n it was recorded on a cell phone.....ela ela keep on riffing...
O thought every1 knew this but I guess every1 doesn't. That song was done by nemesis in 2005 and recorded in 2006 when mihindu was not in the scene. Ruwan J did the vocals at the time. It was a demo, and we didn't wanna put it up cause the quality was bad, but every1 asked us to put it up, so we did. And I agree the guitar tones suck, it was recorded at home. But I guess u should look at the music, not the quality, cause we all admit, the quality is not up to standard.

mihindu puthey the song ''prison diary'' is cool but the tone of your guitars sucks...n you strain your vocals too much.... bt overall the riffs n the harmony is killer...nice lyrics aswell..keep on rocking brother....
