The Man from Earth is a 2007 film written by Jerome Bixby and directed by Richard Schenkman. The film stars David Lee Smith as John Oldman, the protagonist of the story. The screenplay for this movie was conceived by Jerome Bixby in the early 1960s and was completed on his death bed in April 1998, making it his final piece of work.[2] The movie gained recognition in part for being widely distributed through Internet peer-to-peer networks and its producer publicly thanked users of these networks for this.

The film tells a story of John Oldman, a man claiming to be a Cro-Magnon caveman, who still survives after 14,000 years. The entire film is shot in a small house and its porch, relying solely on the conversation of the characters to keep the plot moving: the film is an intellectual discourse between the alleged 14,000-year-old Cro-Magnon and his professor and teacher friends at his farewell party[/.

BUT do u get Mulholland drive..I've watched it 2 times hoping that I'd understand what the hell happened... but the 2nd time was more confusing than first... I totally understood what happened in "Daonnie Darko"...but this ???

Mullholland Drive is a mindfuck. I loved it, but I didn't understand what was going on. I am going to watch it when my mind is clear.

As for Requeim for a Dream...all I can say is that you'll never consider touching the hard drugs in your life after seeing it. Amazing music too.

true..I hav given up on trying to understand Mullholland Drive.. my point is..why make a movie that 95% of the audience wont understand ?

about requiem..ya machang one of my all time favorite movies as well as movie scores..Cronos Quartet is simply awesome ha ?.. & I agree with u on the drugs part as well

dont think we have that much of a problem in schools in SL reagrding this.. but in other countries, rather than bringing down experts or speakers to speak about "Why not to use Hard Drugs"..they should show this movie to the school kids

dont think many will touch any after that  :P
