Just in case anyone is following this thread, here's some amazing music I have re-discovered and (mostly) discovered lately.
Pentemple
'In May of 2007 Sunn O))) did a pacific rim tour, which included Japan and Australia. The lineup consisted of O'Malley, Anderson, Ambarchi and Csihar, but upon arrival to Melbourne, Australia, Sin Nanna was invited to join them for a improvisational performance. Pentemple was the result of this performance...' The res...ults of this collaboration was a completely improvisational, vicious audio and visual assault on the sold out, standing room only audience! This was among the first time that Sunn O))) had worked with live drums and the outcome was completely unprecedented. The whole event was recorded live to 24-track/multi-track. Afterwards Oren Ambarchi edited, sequenced and overhauled the EQ to make it as brutal as possible. This blackened low-end psychedelic war is not for the faint of heart!

The Secret
Their sound is relentless, uncompromising and extremely lethal. Anti-melody, pro-cacophony. Born and shaped in 2003 within the motionless city of Trieste, Italy, The Secret come to life as an output for rage, darkness and negativity. The Secret combines elements of crust/grind, primitive black metal, dark soundscapes a...nd monolithic riffs to take the listener by the hand through an hallucinated trip towards a foggy and yet invisible tomorrow. This April The Secret will enter Godcity Studio in Salem, MA with producer Kurt Ballou to record their Southern Lord debut “Solve et Coagula”, their sonic interpretation of a total loss of faith in social system, religion, personal redemption and every institution. You are forewarned of a approaching monolithic steamroller whose destiny is to flatten all in its path!

Bethlehem
Another amazing composition by the German legends Bethlehem. It's a shame that vocalist Rainer Landfermann stuck around for just a period of one year where he did vocals for "Dictius Te Necare" and just vanished. I loved his work on this record where he brought Bethlehem to a truly unique plane of existence where he we...nt balls out psycho with his style of vocals which conveniently was the icing on the cake. This song also might have something for fans of Funeral In Heaven, the people who've taken the time to lend an ear to Udhbhawaya or The Malediction of Veracity, right around the 2:15min mark, see if you hear anything SLIGHTLY familiar ;) (Although in defense, none of us have heard this song at the time we composed it which was 4 years back, and we couldn't be fucked to change the progression just cause it sounded even REMOTELY similar, also I can show you plenty more projects who have at least a fraction of the whole bar going on at some point of one of their songs) enjoy.

Bohemian Grove
Bohemian Grove is a 2,700-acre campground located at 20601 Bohemian Avenue, in Monte Rio, California, belonging to a private San F-based men's art club known as the Bohemian Club. In mid-July each year, Bohemian Grove hosts a three-week encampment of some of the most powerful men in the world. Since the founding of the... club, the Bohemian Grove's symbol has been an owl, and the club's motto, "Weaving Spiders Come Not Here", is taken from the second scene of Act 2 from A Midsummer Night's Dream; it signifies that the Grove is limited to exchanges about mutual concerns and is characterized by the term "the Bohemian Spirit." A large wood carving of the club's patron saint, St. John in cleric robes with his index finger over his lips stands at the shore of the lake in the Grove, symbolizing the secrecy kept by the Grove's attendees throughout its long history. And here we have a 4 piece Black Metal circle from Greece who perform the art in unparalleled uniqueness, who also have offered both their releases for free download at the link below.

Alghazanth
Although I've listened to a few older release by this Finnish five piece years back, It's a couple of days back that I came to listen to their latest amazing release "Wreath of Thevetat". This release would get a perfect 10 if the...y still had their early raw production going on, and although I think the keyboards are a tad over done in this one, the amazing riff and drum structures make up for all of the set backs. While at times they remind me of the last few Gorgoroth releases (sans all the epic keyboard blending), alot of the riffs at times remind me of the great Der Weg Einer Freiheit.

Agni
Tandav, a salutation to Lord Shiva and begins with a prayer to the magnificent Shiva from the Rudra. The song is a humble tribute from a mortal man to the Eternal One who is the creator, sustainer and destroyer. The band Agni is one of the founders of the modern Indian Rock Music scene. This song is "Tandav" from their ...1995 record, "Mrityunyaja". The album could be considered to be one of the forerunners of Vedic Metal, with its Sanskrit lyrics, religious themes and the amazing fusion of Indian and Western music. Amazing, mind blowing music.

Farsot.
No better way than starting the day with some pissu hadena German Black Metal. Great music by the 5 piece unit, do check out their demo release "042103Freitod" and their debut record "lll".
Farsot - Thematik : Trauer (Pt I )
In tracks changing between unpredictability and catchiness, this young band from Germany eschews crude sensationalism in order to penetrate subtly and insistently those dreaded corners of the soul that lurk within us all. Firmly rooted in dark Black Metal, FARSOT succeed in orchestrating musical contrasts in such an u...nexpected way, thus captivating the listener, that when hearing the final track of the album, you won't be asking yourself in what way gentle female choirs and Burzumesque darkness augment each other...
Farsot - Thematik: Trauer (pt II)
The result is quite astonishing - still Black Metal, but in a very unique form. So once again a clear prove that Black Metal is still "alive", that there are still bands out there able to play interesting music without leaving the typical elements of this genre behind. For me Black Metal has always been defined by ter...ms like romantic and passionate, because it is able to arouse very strong feelings. Having such definition in mind, FARSOT released a very good debut.

Lichens (thanks to Pharoah)
Here's Robert A. Lowe from Lichens/90 Days Men who also contributed vocals to three tracks on Nachtmystium's latest record, performing a very tripped and spaced out session at Miroiterie, Paris. Here's him performing "M St r ng W tchcr ft L v ng ...n Sp r t" off his 2007 release, Omns.

Die Toten Kehren Wieder Mit Dem Wind
My newest provider of all that is pure, DIE TOTEN KEHREN WIEDER MIT DEM WIND all the way from fucking Germany. Man these Germans know what they're doing, as I've been craving and feeding off some great GBM as of late, all warm and drenched with desolating at...mospheres. The band, of who's name when translated means "The dead ones return with the wind" is a one man project by Bradhenr. Here's the opening track off their mind blowing recent opus, aptly titled, "BLUT". Recommended to all BLUT AUS NORD fans!

Samsara Blues Experiment
On their official Myspace page they describe themselves as a psychadelic/classic rock/down tempo project. Quite an amazing one at that too, as this shit is tripped out as fuck. As the band name implies, three elemental aspects are to notice - the blues as the foundation where it all comes from, the inclusion of spiritu...al influences accompanied by Indian/raga music and the experimental approach to mix up varied elements in a convincing manner. SBE hail from Berlin, Germany, maybe our comrade, the drum demon Mr.Silva might be aware of them! Eitherway, check this one out. More music here - http://www.myspace.com/samsarablues

Antares Predator
Here's to all KEEP OF KALESSIN fans around. Another amazing project also from Norway who have similarities in sound with KOK, but is tad bit more rawer, faster and INNOVATIVE than KOK. Innovation in the form of some amazing trumpet and violin passages along the whole record and similarities might be... maybe because both bands share Warach (Øyvind Winthera) as a mutual guitar player, either way, get your hands on their BANQUET OF ASHES EP release. I haven't listened to the debut album, so no comments on that yet. 11th spin on BANQUET...and continuing.

Marduk
Love songs in the form of Black Metal? Yes, indeed. Here's Marduk with "Bleached Bones" from their 2003 legendary record WORLD FUNERAL. Say it again, World Funeral. What a fucking title. Here's vocalist Legion addressing a not-so-taboo topic of necrophilia: the irresistible sexual attraction towards dead bodies. "How I... love your pale white skin and the emptiness in your lifeless eyes and how I love the warmth within like the blood that sprayed when you stopped your cries. Your naked corpse as beautiful as the down when it comes with the firs sunray, but it was your peeled bleached bones that really took my breath away..." I remember the time when FIH covered this back in 07. Ayesh too has been wanting to do this one again... Hmmmm.

It's almost 5am and Marduk's disasterpiece "Panzer Division Marduk" from 1999, during their most "Golden Years" so to speak, has been keeping me up for past couple of hours. Never have I heard anything from that decade that even comes close to the havoc the Swedish four piece created with this record. But due to popula...r controversy, you either are spitting on this album for its so-called monotonous, uninteresting compositions, OR, you like me have built a shrine around this monster of a record and are worshiping it as an Black Metal all timer. This record is also a prime example of a long lost concept of cover art equalizing the music. Howitzer on the front cover, Howitzer on the ears. Christ Raping Black Metal indeed. This shit never gets old.

The Flight of Sleipnir
The Flight of Sleipnir are simply one of the best kept secrets in the world of Psyche, Doom, Psychedelic, Progressive Rock. The band is a collaboration between Clayton Cushman (Acheronian Dirge, Ex-Throcult) and David Csicsely - (Acheronian Dirge, Nexhymn, Ex- Throcult). Even though the band have a lot of Doom Metal st...yled passages, it mixed up with drumming that is closer to Jazz than Metal and some guitar solo's that sound like Robert Fripp's work on ITCOTCK. Sleip∙nir -(slāp'nir) Odin's eight-legged steed, and the greatest of all horses. The off spring of Loki and the gray stallion Svadilfari, Sleipnir, the swiftest on the earth could bear Odin over sea, through the air, and to and from the land of the dead.
